Trans Okavango Safari

Garcin Safaris offers a once in a life time opportunity to explore the Okavango Delta where the Okavango River enters Botswana in the Shakawe area, called the pan handle, through the channels and lagoons ending in Maun .

This safari is not for the faint hearted, it is geared to the individual that is looking for the challenge of no day being the same as the one before, taking the river at its full flow and finding a channel to make your way through.

Starting at either Shakawe, Sepupa or Seronga, this trip is ideally done between August and September when the flood has made its way to Maun. Following the course of the river by motor boat you will pass through the Okavango delta, stopping off on Islands to pitch camp each night.

Some days will be grueling, others a breeze.

Rates and availability on request, client must be medically fit. Please note the Trans Okavango can take anything between 10 days and two weeks depending on the water levels.

The ultimate adventure....
