Botswana and Namibia Safari

Garcin Safaris offers this 10 day Safari starting in Maun moving on to Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, Caprivi Strip, Okavango panhandle, Tsodilo hills and ending back in Maun.

 


  • Day one, Depart from Maun for Moremi Game Reserve, Moremi Game reserve has been voted one of the top ten in the world. Lunch will be provided on arrival at camp and an afternoon game drive is available.
  • Day two, An early morning game drive followed by brunch on arrival back at camp. Mid day is at leisure, and an afternoon game drive is available.

Botswana........................

  • Day three, Depart for Savuti (Chobe national Park); Savuti has the highest number of predators in the world. This is a long day’s drive and a stop for a picnic lunch will be made en route. Then a late afternoon game drive is available.
  • Day four, An early Morning game drive, followed by brunch on arrival back at camp.

    • Mid day is at leisure, and an afternoon game drive is available.

  • Day five, Leave the Savuti Marshes (dry) to continue on to Chobe where camp will be set up on the river front . There will be a picnic lunch en route. Then an afternoon game drive to watch the elephants making their way to the river for their afternoon of antics in the river.

Namibia.........

  • Day six, Leave Botswana and cross the border into Namibia and the Caprivi Strip. The night will be spent at the Caprivi Fishing lodge in Katimo Malino. There will be a sun set cruise on the Chobe River.

 

  • Day seven, A Drive through the Caprivi Strip back into Botswana at Shakawe and continue down to Sepupa Swamp Stop, set on the river banks of the Okavango River,  where accommodation for the following three nights will be at Swamp Stop Lodge.

  • Day eight, A motor boat day trip. This is a full day on the Okavango River. Lunch will be provided on one of the islands. Perhaps you can try your luck at catch a Tiger fish.

...................................................and Back Again.

  • Day nine, After breakfast another adventure to Tsodilo Hills, a guided tour of the hills looking at the vast rock paintings.
    The four Tsodilo Hills form a line of sheer quartzite cliff faces that protrude from the flat barren landscape of the western Kalahari near the panhandle region of the Okavango Delta.
    The hills have long been associated with spirituality. There are rock paintings on all the hills, with the best site located at the north end of the female hill. Tsodilo Hills has been designated as a world Heritage site.
  • Day ten, Sadly like all good things this is the end of the safari trip and your return back to Maun. Accommodation will be provided at Maun Lodge for the final dinner.
  • Day eleven, Depart for next destination.

The Above Includes:

  • All accommodation: twin bedded chalets in lodges and twin bedded tents on safari.
  • All meals (3 meals a day), teas, coffees, cold drinks (sodas) local beer or wine with evening meal and snacks.
  • All activities game park fees and entries.
